Celebrating the NYC Marathon & Team LIVESTRONG with an InView Designs Medal Display Case 1

In August 2010, I committed to running the ING New York City Marathon for LIVESTRONG. I had been following this incredible organization and Lance Armstrong for years and decided it was time for me to get involved and give back to a community in need.
I had never run a marathon before I signed up, never mind a half marathon. I had three months to get ready (yikes!) and three months to raise money for a cause in which I truly believe (yay!).
Fortunately, I was in pretty good shape from training for the Utah Half 70.3 Triathlon in late August, and I had a few short-distance triathlons and the Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon (a weekend before the NYC Marathon!) that fall to help me prepare.
On November 7, 2010, I ran the New York City Marathon, on a day I still consider one of the longest, craziest, and most difficult, inspiring, tiring, overwhelming, serendipitous, and memorable days of my life. It was my run for 28,000,005 people and one extraordinary cause, and I raised over $5,000 for LIVESTRONG and those living with and beyond cancer.
To say that my NYC Marathon run is one of my proudest achievements is an understatement. Thinking about the experience still brings tears to my eyes, even today. Sadly, until very recently, my memories stayed tucked away here and there – in a box, in a dresser drawer, somewhere in a Facebook photo album. I didn’t have a good way to display my marathon medal and LIVESTRONG medal alongside my NYC Marathon diploma that I so badly wanted to see.
And then, along came medal display cases by INVIEW DESIGNS!
As of today, my marathon medal and my Team LIVESTRONG medal live with my marathon finisher’s diploma where they belong – in a beautiful, black, ‘Liked-it’ medal display case on my dresser! THANK YOU, Tad and INVIEW DESIGNS for helping me keep my memories fresh and celebrate my achievements!!
